I had never even crossed my mind that there would be a benefit
For me to prepare as a woman with the programming for a woman instead of just following exactly what the guys do.
And I guess the biggest benefits for me was learning how to work with my biology as opposed to pretending it doesn't exist and then wondering why things are not working as well.
You know, you can override things for a really long time.
And I became a world champion overriding, but I hurt myself.
I hurt myself hormonally.
I hurt myself mentally.
I hurt myself emotionally.
And it's very catastrophic for women when we mess with our hormones because we need 28 days in order to try to do it again.
All right.
You're on a 24 hour hormone cycle.
For you, it's like you have different fluctuations, but testosterone is high in the morning, it's a little bit lower in the evening, and then you do it again the next day.
For us, essentially, no day is the same.
We're constantly either building or rapidly declining in two primary sex hormones, estrogen and progesterone.
And while we see an eight, I think it's eight to 10 time increase of estrogen in
in the first follicular part of our cycle, and we get a little bit of testosterone, and then we nosedive into the luteal phase, which can feel like being shoved off of a cliff comparatively to the first half of the cycle.
And it's not the best time that I have found, and I think most women also will find, to push an 11 out of 10 type of workout.
Because progesterone is a bit more of like, it's that nesting hormone sort of.
It's the hormone that just goes wild and it increases tremendously during pregnancy.
And you'll hear about that like, oh, my wife is like readying the house.
