But he's a competitor, and that's what he's going to do.

Probably my favorite thing I've heard about him, one, his faith in his foundation.

He's a family man.

He's a team first guy.

When he came in, he got with the Pirates, and they sat down and created a plan defensively.

I know we're talking about his offense.

We know this guy rakes.

He's a really special player.

They nailed that trade.

It's probably the best trade I could find looking into it in the last 15, 20 years when you think about what all we got back for one player.

But he wanted to improve his defense.

He knew that he needed to help this team defensively as much as he did offensively.

And it's been fun to watch him, even yesterday, do a great job getting around the bag, getting in front, reading the hop, and making a great tag on Henry Davis' throw.

And those things are going to go unnoticed because of his bat.

But those things are going to come up in a huge way because he worked extremely hard on that first step, being in the right position.

Because as you get older, you don't move as well, but you're smarter.

So that's what he's utilizing.
