I might know a bit more because I spend my life in front of a computer reading news.
But if your life is not the market and your life is not a hobby of learning what's happening around the world, you probably are not aware
what the state of the Canadian economy is or the Canadian political system.
So I think the same happens for the Canadians listening to Europe.
They see it's a big continent.
They see that they're standing, they're putting a stand against Trump.
So they think there is an ally against Trump.
So I think the headlines make a more important point
are a more important factor than the substance.
So from that point of view, I think that the Canadian politicians do it for the reasons I just described.
I would imagine.
I don't know.
Now, if they don't know what I just described, it's even more worrisome that they're not aware that Europe is facing its own struggles and needs to reassess of how it's going to move ahead.
Now, the solution to Europe, with what they've been thinking, is to spend a lot of money
on defense and create packages for defense spending.
Now, obviously that will help GDP do a bit better, but do you think it's a good solution when there's an arms race, especially in a continent where two world wars started from it?
Because two world wars started from Europe.
We need to remember this.
Have we laid down what are the safety nets for this not to happen again?
I'm not sure we've done that.
