Oh, fantastic.
I love the idea that there are different variations of the future in this work.
That's fantastic.
Such a great, got such a great premise.
Well, now, before we get to some of the books that we will be talking about, why don't we hear a little of what is on your bookshelves.
First to you, Michaela, what have you been reading lately?
It's always interesting to hear when people return to a book.
What is it that brings you back and is it different each time?
Well, others agree with you.
Of course, it won the Miles Franklin Award, I think sometime in the mid 2000s.

Nardi Simpson is a Uralaway writer and musician, a founding member of the Indigenous folk duo the Stiff Gins.
She's been performing for many years and has now turned to fiction.
Her debut novel is Song of the Crocodile, and we've already heard it mentioned a couple of times here on the bookshelf by guests who've read early copies of it with great excitement.
From Australian fiction, we're now moving to France and a novel in translation from Nicolas Mathieu.
The book is called And Their Children After Them and it won France's most prestigious literary award, the Prix Goncourt in 2018.
So Kate and Sam, where in France are you taking us?
Well, thank you both, Michaela Saunders and Sam Coley, for those lovely reviews.
