Daily time blocking.
So I don't practice weekly time blocking for specific activities just because I find that it makes me feel a little bit trapped and it's a little bit overscheduley.
But daily time blocking and having a focused idea of what my day is going to look like helps me to keep things done in compartmentalized blocks.
I also tend to work in cycles.
So Focusmate is a great tool for that because you can book 50 minute sessions or 25 minute sessions.
And then after that, take a little break, hop on another session and have a specific focus for each session that you're in.
Exactly.
Yeah.
It's not even just, oh, I don't have time for fun.
It's like, I don't have time for random things that pop up during the day that are naturally going to happen when you time block yourself and you're super restrictive about your time.
I think it just creates more stress.
So if you do time block your day, definitely time block it without an expectation of this is exactly how things are going to pan out because that's not necessarily the case, but even still going in with a plan, you are always going to be more focused.
Yeah.
Yeah, yes.
Yeah, I definitely hear that phrase a lot.
I think that it's an interesting one.
Have you ever seen the little graphics of the comfort zone and then there's the stretch zone and then there's the panic zone?
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
And that's how I like to picture it.
So really, I think that stepping out of your comfort zone is most beneficial when you're on the very edge of your comfort zone.
