You know, a friend might say to you, oh, don't quit your day job.
Yeah, it's just more of a metaphorical, just like a funny remark of, oh, yeah, let's stick to it.
Like, don't make this one of your main things.
Yeah.
But Lindsay, would you use this to someone you don't really know that well?
Especially because that is their day job also.
That's a good point.
That is actually their day job.
So if it is someone's day job and you're saying don't quit your day job, you're really insulting.
Really not good.
yeah so I mean this is for someone you have a very congenial and fun relationship with someone you joke around with maybe you're sarcastic with like a good buddy a sibling like I would say it to my brother for sure um I would say it to Dan you know and he could say it to me you know it's just yeah it's in it's it's with someone a special kind of relationship not not the handyman who's
right right exactly so let's do a tiny role play okay um okay oh sorry for my terrible singing yeah lindsey don't quit your day job i know i know
Hey, Lindsay, watch me shoot some hoops.
Okay, now I'm going to miss every shot.
Right, exactly.
Okay, Lindsay, here's a question for you.
If you are not good at something, like some sort of thing that all your friends are doing, do you try and avoid it?
Or do you have like a lighthearted spirit where you can just do it and still have fun?
Yeah.
And I guess it depends how much of a push it is.
