So it means to get comfortable, to get relaxed, or potentially to get confident, confident, comfortable with something, getting used to something, adjusting to it.
Usually when something is new or when something is getting started, it's like an adjustment period, right?
Yeah, but it also could be.
you know unpacking all your boxes yeah deciding what room things go in i mean one thing for me about settling in is you know it's really nice if i can unpack so this week we're staying i'm staying at my in-laws place because we're doing a renovation on our home and um i was able to kind of unpack a little bit take stuff out of a suitcase and that's a big part for me of settling in is you

So I think a lot of our listeners right now are probably envisioning what they like to do to settle in when they get home from a long day at work.
right?
Especially if you live in a big city and you've been on the train, maybe you shower because you're feeling dirty or maybe you put on comfortable pants or you eat something or turn on the TV.
Everyone has their own little ritual.
But then also you could say something like this, let's settle in.
This lecture is going to take a long time.
So this kind of means like calm down in a way or it means, but actually, I don't know, calm down.
Yeah.
You're going to be in a place for a while.
This is like a three hour college lecture.
Right.
