His bodyguard was normally either, you know, it would be Billy Taylor or maybe it would be, maybe it would be
you know, Steve Kavanagh, whatever that, that was his, they were his bodyguards.
So because he just didn't need them, he felt so at home with our fan base and, you know, connected, even though he's from, but it just, to me, that just shows the Millwall fan base as a whole.
We don't care who you are.
We don't care whether or not you've got a penny in your pocket or you've got bundles of money in your pocket.
When you walk through the gates of Millwall, all we worry about is your Millwall.
And I think that's what he did.
He didn't care what you were.
You were Millwall to him and he'd talk to you, he'd listen to you.
And I've had the pleasure of walking around the stadium with him a few times when I was a fan on the board and
You know, some people talk to him, you know, probably absolute nonsense to a degree of what they were saying to him.
But he just, he never stopped him.
He never stopped him in their tracks and said, oh, I don't want to hear that.
You know, he'd hear about it.
He was just a really good man around people.
He was warm.
He was...
you know, inviting.
He was just... He was just a nice bloke.
And I don't think there's anyone out there what will have a bad word to say about him, purely, purely because everything people say is genuine.
