I get that.
But isn't it also that they've gotten something wrong about where and how platforms add value?
I've got something else I'm a little down on.
And we talked about this briefly, but I think I'm kind of really down on this woke capitalism thing.
BlackRock, as one example, has been accused of being a woke capitalist.
And on the one hand, I'm kind of sympathetic, which is...
I'm no fan of corporate purpose and ESG, but the folks who are angry about that have kind of taken up this banner of woke capitalism and suggested that somehow people are using corporations in these deeply political ways.
I think the problem with the movement that I feel is it's kind of self-defeating.
then by using that phrase and by painting them in that light and by doing it in such a polarizing way, you only add to the problem.
So in a way, I'm sympathetic to the idea that maybe ESG and purpose have gotten way out of hand.
But by brandishing these terms and basically playing the same game in the other direction, it also feels problematic.
So I don't know.
I'm kind of over woke capitalism.
That must have been one of our tapings, Felix.
And this is why end of the year is such a good time because you also have reminded me of something very similar that happened to me, which is the first time I taught without a mask.
I also was just overjoyed and I remembered why we went into this career in part, right?
Like it was just such a special time and I'd kind of forgotten that.
And so I'm so glad you reminded me of it because when we were teaching in masks, frankly, I was fine with it.
It was okay.
It was okay.
