They just got destroyed with injuries.
They may have set some ungodly record, like over 70 spins on the IL, just decimated up and down pitchers, position players.
And, you know, I think, I mean, that's part of the excuse.
I'll say that.
But in doing so, they ended up firing Brandon Hyde.
Manzolino came in and was the interim manager, you know, for last year.
And then all of a sudden they get rid of everybody.
They trade everybody away at the deadline.
They say it's not a rebuild.
It's more of kind of a reset.
But there were only like six original guys left over from that team from last year.
So they had to completely rebuild, restructure the whole organization and
Go and sign some guys.
They made some big signings, getting, you know, Pete Alonzo and Ward, landing Bassett.
They never did get the number one or two guy that, you know, everybody was hoping that they'd land, you know, to stabilize the rotation.
And I just think the organization has been in a little bit of flux.
They're trying to learn the new coaching staff.
Yeah, they got rid of the whole coaching staff, too.
Only a couple left.
Pitching kind of stayed, I guess, intact with the instructors here.
