Remember, the window had opened for him a year earlier.
He deliberately decided to wait.
That's got to be very difficult for coaches to do because they know that that window opens and it
and it may close and never open again.
So he waited, and the window stayed open, and he landed in a great spot, and it went perfectly well, and I feel like it's just going to continue on that trajectory.
And yes, the season ended in a disappointing way, but the arrow's pointing up, and I just love the confidence.
I love what they've done.
I love what he's done with Caleb Williams, and it just feels like,
And it kind of oozes out of him that last year was last year and everything's going to keep moving in the right direction.
That's what makes it so hilarious.
LaFleur's entire vibe on it is.
what the hell did I do?
I just work here.
And, you know, and implicit in that is it's not supposed to be that way among the coaches because we see what happens.
Assistant coach spends a year with the Bengals and then the assistant coach spends a year with the dolphins.
And then the assistant coach gets a promotion to the jet.
And then after a couple of years, the window opens to be a head coach and he takes a job with the Texans.
I mean, it's,
there's no real loyalty or allegiance by the coaches to anything other than the job they now have.
So they're not going to get caught up in this whole fan stuff.
