There is nobody that cares about the Chargers in L.A., unfortunately.
I wish there were more.
I know there's a handful of fans.
Don't get me wrong.
All five L.A.
Chargers fans, my apologies.
But the San Diego fan base was tremendous.
You had an owner that had no trust with the community, and you have a community that didn't believe in taxpayer funding of stadiums.
Okay.
Well, then the NFL should have stepped in.
What's in the best interest of the NFL?
Keeping their fan base in San Diego, not diluting this mess in L.A.
But instead, what did they really want?
Well, they wanted to help an owner who couldn't afford a stadium he was building
In SoFi, and he wanted a second tenant in order to be able to have this magnificent stadium.
So the NFL prioritized having this incredible stadium.
God love it.
SoFi, it's a beautiful stadium.
It's a great, you know, host stadium for Super Bowls, for national title games, for Taylor Swift concerts, you name it.
But without the guarantee of a second tenant, it was going to make it really hard for the owner to make that work.
