A lot of times it's a shady entity. And I like the shady ones, and the players know it's a shady one, because then it can bounce back and forth. It never just takes over a character. On occasion, I will have characters roll charisma checks to see if it influences them even more so than just by talk. But it's far more fun to have the... the item convince the player to use it in certain ways.

One problem I have is I have a player who absolutely loves these items and always does what they say because he is very much, the player is very much a move the story forward in a fun way sort of player, you know, and we're always careful that he doesn't like ruin the game by going off in some crazy direction, but he's always, he was the first one to open a door, first one to grab an item that's dangerous, all that kind of stuff.

So to gout, gout, Denzia is not there. And I have to see if I can find his name. Then our new, our new character. And who is that? Rowan is not there. The other four are there, and my friend, the on-call player, is there. And I'm hoping I put him in the characters. It does not look like I did. So I really need to, in my notes, write down my friend's character, who I think he's a ranger.
