So it was like... It's been rough before and it's kind of getting rough too.
So...
Right after Spencer signed the minimum contract for the rest of this season, Yossi Gozlan, who is the host of the Third Apron podcast and a salary cap expert, tweeted out that if Spencer starts in seven more games, he would qualify for something that's called starter's criteria, which means the Nuggets would have to offer him $5.9 million qualifying offer this summer just to keep his free agency restricted.
Is it fair to ask whether Spencer is not starting since he signed the deal because the Nuggets are trying to save money next season?
And are they also potentially hurting his free agency on purpose so they would have an easier, and when I say easier, I mean cheaper path to retain him.
Why are they so afraid to pay this guy?
Is it because they fear he's smarter than most of the people in the organization?
What is your...
annoyance level when you know that your team has a top 10 or top 15 player of all time and they are doing their best to to get under the tax what sort of message does that send to the fans worldwide well it's a terrible message but i i'll tell you that they should have if they were going to go this direction they should have got out of the tax the year before last
Yeah, well, first of all, I don't think... I mean, Joker will sign the extension for sure.

And it's...
Nowadays, I feel like their agents are more like...
like, money laundering guys than, like, sports agents.
Like, they know every loophole in the CBA and stuff like that.
They know how to maximize.
And I'm not saying about maximizing players' money.
I'm talking about maximizing their, like, cut of players' contracts.
