putting it in a good area for a long time with, you know, sweepers and, you know, going at twos, threes and making a mistake rather than going field up, four dots, two boundaries kind of thing.
So, yeah.
You know, we see it all over the, you know, subcontinent.
You know, it's nice when my first tour there, they had the field up and you could just kind of try to slog it over the top and get away with the odd chunk, but those days have gone, unfortunately.
Yeah, I don't think the GOAT would ever get dropped for a game, Nathan Lyon.
If he's getting dropped, we're all getting dropped, aren't we?
Mate.
New Zealand, you know, home summer, they're green.
You kind of just, you know, you play your, wouldn't say part-time, but you're definitely not playing a spinner.
And I think, you know, I guess as a spinner growing up in New Zealand, you kind of, you have to try to find ways of, you know, doing a job in those conditions.
And then, you know, if you do get a chance to, you know, go overseas and have a, you know, go to India or something, then you're kind of expected to take wickets.
And that can be a bit of a challenge at times because you're,
you're also, you're going, all right, now give me 10 for, and you're like, well, I haven't bowled in spinning conditions in a whole lot.
But, yeah, I think, you know, I think we still, you know, there should still be a bit of, you know, an option for spin.
I know India, you know, when they came to England last year, they played Washi and, you know, Jadeja.
So I think there's, you know, there's still a place for spin.
I think you just have to kind of,
you know, the roles might change depending on where you are.
You know, in New Zealand, it's kind of a holding role so you can kind of do a job into the wind and let your big boys go downwind and take all the poles.
You know, so I think, and then if it does, you know, you kind of flip, you know, you get to day four or day five, it might start to spin, which, you know, is always a good thing.
