And so that really frustrated me.
And so that's why I decided to put my hands up in 2020.
No, I had no mentor in the politics space.
I was never really much a political person.
I was very much grassroot, community orientated.
But 2020 elections were a strange one because obviously it's COVID.
You know, I couldn't door knock.
I couldn't hold community gatherings.
And no one really knew who I was, right?
Besides obviously, you know, the community I had worked with.
So luckily it was a social media event.
So it did kick off and a lot of people resonated with what I had to say and I was able to raise a lot of important issues to the surface of the conversation.
But I ended up losing and it was a very public loss.
And it was at the time, you know, I felt like, oh, I got rejected.
My community don't want me to represent them.
And obviously it's human nature to think like this.
Oh, it's completely changed.
My relationship with problems now is pretty healthy.
