Let me just sidebar just quickly.

When show match conversations come up, fans have the wildest ideas, right, which would be great to do.

There would be great things to do, all these wild ideas that they have, but are not grounded in the reality of what's possible.

So just to make a couple of things clear for people.

if you want to get players involved in playing a show match, you will have to compensate them.

If you want to get high-profile players who maybe stream or live in a different country, not only will you have to fly them out and get them situated and give them accommodation, you'll have to compensate them maybe even more money than you would have to with certain players.

And then on top of that, with all these different ideas and, oh, they should play this match, they should do this –

A lot of the time, it's low value because the players are just going to fuck around.

They're not going to try.

It's not normally fun enough to keep your entertainment for the full 45 to 60 minutes that it will be anyway.

And the value is very low in those things.

At least a third place decider, fans can go to the arena and watch some of their favorite teams and players play Counter-Strike on a stage in a match.

Of course, the stakes, as we know, are nowhere near as high as what they are in a conventional game, but it is still extra entertainment that you are getting that is better than the alternative.

And it's also... Here's the thing.

If people say, I don't like third-place deciders, you don't have to watch the third-place decider.

I know that that is such a reductive argument, and people are like, yeah, but this is such an extra.

You're still going to have the grand final.

You're still going to have the match you want, and you want to replace it with a show match, which...

has very limited to no value.

So, yeah.
