Well, ahead of the budget, Sean, the local share market fell 0.4% to 8,671 points yesterday after the U.S.
President Donald Trump said he will meet with top generals to discuss military options in the Middle East.
Now, all this came after he accused Iran of reneging on a promise to drop its nuclear ambitions as part of a deal to end the war.
Trump said that the weeks-long fragile ceasefire was on massive life support, his words, not mine, and described Tehran's proposal sent over the weekend as, quote, a piece of garbage.
Yeah, it was really interesting to see it not bounce CSL.
Yeah.
Look, today's another day, but we'll also be focused on DroneShield.
ASIC is investigating that hot stock after the company published incorrect sales information late last year.
And if you recall, its then CEO, chairman, and another director sold $70 million worth of stock.
The news yesterday sent its share price down 11%.
Nor should it.
Not to editorialize too much.
We'll see what comes out of it.
Let's get to data centers, though, because they could be forced to power their operations with new renewable energy sources under national rules that are being drafted by the Australian Energy Market Commission.
Now, Sean, the rules would be designed by state and federal energy ministers to help protect electricity consumers from rising grid costs.
And, Sean, this is something that we are seeing in overseas nations and the U.S.
because there's been a lot of pushback, really, really strong pushback to some of the data centers and their insatiable appetite for energy, of course.
I wonder when nuclear will be part of that conversation as well.
