I don't know if it's just me, but I have encountered a lot of people who are quite dismissive of the idea that your mindset and your relationship with money impacts how successful you might be with it.
So what is the connection, Rachel?
Is it as provable as if you've got a bad money mindset, you're going to have bad money outcomes?
Yeah.
Driven by fear and greed, as they say, right?
Yeah, just optimism.
A feeling.
Yeah.
I mean, and that probably puts into sharper relief then if you're not great with numbers or a spreadsheet, you know, you get excited about that.
You can still be good with money if 80% of it's actually emotional.

How do I work out the bits that are problematic?

Feels hard from the outset because I immediately go, oh, you know, I do this unhelpful thing.
I do this problematic thing because if the outcome's not good, then the input must be bad.
And so there's heaps of judgment going on.

Yeah.
Why do you think so many of us don't like talking about money?
