In 2022, a mobile home park in Durango, Colorado went up for sale.

A notoriously predatory corporation offered $5.5 million in cash for the lot.

Park residents raised money to try to match or beat the offer.

And they partnered with a community land trust.

That's Stefka Fante of the non-profit Elevation Community Land Trust.

She worked with residents to buy out the park.

Now, the land trust is the landlord.

It manages the park for the benefit of residents.
