Something has always drawn me to it. I like to say maybe it's because my great grandpa was a curandero. Which doctor? I'm so sorry. That was very not Spanish in northern Mexico. So I've always been sensitive to energy changes and whatnot. So basically, my brothers and I shared a room. My little brother and I on the top bunk and my older brother in the bottom bunk.

We had a little nightlight that used to change colors every other second to light up our pitch black room. I was trying to sleep when I felt like I need to open my eyes right away. I know what's happening. Oh, no. I opened them just to see my big Winnie the Pooh bear moving from side to side as if something or itself was moving it almost like a baby.

It was laying down all the way on the other side of the room. I shut my eyes and tried not to cry. I covered my eyes with my heavy Mexican blanket, but I needed to get air. And once I took it off, I felt a heavy presence over me. My body felt hot and I couldn't move. I tried screaming out for my brother, but I was too scared. Once I tried that, all I heard was a gummy smile.

You know when your mouth makes a noise when you smile? Well, exactly like that. All I thought was get up and run. I kept waiting for the nightlight to change to a bright color, but it felt like it stayed stuck on red forever. Finally, I was able to scream out and I ran down, grabbed my puppy, and booked it to my parents' bedroom, and they didn't believe me.

There have been many more times where whatever it was attacked me and my younger cousins, but never the adults. We stayed in that house for about three more years before we finally left. Glad to say nothing too crazy has happened in our new house. But here and there, we still feel small energy shifts.

Well, our next one is a snippet of a story sent to us by the history drag queen, Wendy Weather. It was from our second Listener Stories episode, episode 19. The entire story is worth a listen, but we wanted to tell you the part that still sticks in our brains today.
