But finally got a producer.

I just started working on the book with the faith that I would get a deal done somewhere with a publisher.

And we did.

We got the manuscript written within seven months.

So it was a quick, really, really quick turnaround.

But we did it.

And it's a smaller book.

It should be a quick read for people.

Yeah.

Yeah, I think that's what it was.

No, it's 170 pages.

Yeah, and it's not like tiny font.

It's 45,000 words.

It's a pretty quick read.

And we wanted it to be that way because we want people to not be intimidated to pick it up if they're walking through the airport or whatever.

Yeah, that was the idea behind it.

And yeah, I want to get it out to as many Kansas Citians as possible because I think the more people in this town are armed with the stories and information about why we should stick our chest out and do that adorable Kansas City thing that we do where we show people how proud we are of the place.

I learned a ton.

researching the book, I thought I knew a lot about the history of Kansas City and the history of soccer in town.

And I learned so much in the research project that I know that if you're from Kansas City and you're proud of this place, you will pick up a lot of things you didn't know in the book that'll make you want to tell people, hey, this is why Kansas City is the most important soccer city in America.
