Yeah, so currently I write for a site called Aftermath. It's reader-supported and worker-owned. Me and a few other people founded it. But before that, I've been all over the place. I was at Kotaku for a long time. And then after that, I was at the Washington Post.

And as for why I write about video games, I grew up playing them and knew that I loved them and always wanted to get into doing something with them. And then when I was in middle school and high school, I just read video game magazines all the time. That's all I did between classes and when I finished my homework and stuff. And so eventually I was just like, how do I do this?

And I definitely wanted to have both ends of that spectrum because I think that content creation and streaming are very different experiences depending on how big you are. And so, yeah, I didn't want to just tell the story of the platform itself because I think that a lot of people do that. There are books about YouTube and TikTok and things like that.

And they tend to focus on the companies and the people who brought the platform itself to life. But while there's an audience for that and while like some people definitely want to know the business side of things, I think that especially if we're talking about Twitch, people care more about the creators and the community because that's what has always made Twitch, I think, special and different.
