How did you manage to handle that?

He wanted me to hear from him, not anyone else.

So yeah, that was tough.

I remember him telling us that they found her and she wasn't alive.

And just, everyone just broke down.

Rick, you have always sort of portrayed yourself as a tough cop, but how did you manage this?

I was a big baby when that happened.

I can tell you, like being kicked in the groin or something because it's like, I'm not so tough after that.

I was, it fell apart.

I just thought about the boys, Noah and Adam, that, you know, they're going to have to grow up without their mother.
