This was from last summer when the Epstein crisis was really in full steam. And President Donald Trump kept saying, the press needs to focus on my accomplishments. This is all a democratic hoax. And you had the Wall Street Journal reporting that Donald Trump back in 2003 had actually contributed to Epsteins 50th birthday book.
And you had not only the president, but all of his advisors saying that's not even Donald Trump's signature. That is a complete fake. This is all about destroying his reputation. And so Donald Trump said he was going to sue the Wall Street Journal for defamation, insisting that this was all just a fake attempt by the journal to make him look bad.
Why did the judge throw out the case? Well, for defamation cases in the US, you have to show actual malice, right? So you have to prove two things. Not only that it is false, but that the outlet who reported it should have known it was false or did know it was false, or they just acted in complete reckless disregard. And the judge noted in this case, there was no way that President Trump could have proven that in this instance.
So the judge said that President Trump could refile a lawsuit, but in this case there was nowhere close to showing that there was malice towards him. And last, Netta, any word from Donald Trump in reaction to the judge's decision? President Trump put out a Truth Social post confirming that he would refile a lawsuit. He's going to take a second crack at this before the deadline of April 27th that was set by the judge. So he has just a limited time to kind of redraw up the lawsuit.
This was a pretty conclusive decision by this judge. Let's see what happens if the president does in fact refile the lawsuit.

The snow has been falling at more than two to three inches an hour. Already some places in the northeast are under nearly two feet of snow. And then there's the wind gusts ranging from 40 to 70 miles per hour across the eastern seaboard. Winter storm warnings are in force for tens of millions of people who have been urged to stay home.
It's the first time in 10 years that New York City has been placed under a blizzard warning. The last time the entire state of New Jersey faced such an alert was in 1996. These people described the conditions.
The dangerous conditions and low visibility mean schools are closed and travel has been severely affected. More than 5,000 flights have been cancelled and most above ground trains have been halted. But New York subway trains are still running. This blizzard comes after a deadly two week period of snow and below freezing temperatures. But warmer weather is expected later this week.
The meeting was actually chaired by the UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, who has a very different assessment compared to the US.
She believes that the two-state solution is in profound peril, whereas the U.S.
has really been touting what they believe has been real progress since Donald Trump's 20-point peace plan was endorsed by the Security Council.
And so you have this real tension between what we're hearing at the U.N.,
And what we're hearing from the United States and what we heard in the council today was real concern by a majority of member states that not only was not the fact that not enough aid is getting in to Gaza.
but also that the situation in the West Bank is now a serious threat to an eventual two-state solution, citing the fact that we have seen record settlement expansion and this decision by the Israeli cabinet to approve these far-reaching changes that expand their authority in the occupied West Bank, which today the U.N.
political chief Rosemary DiCarlo said amounted to de facto annexation.
There is absolutely a recognition that the UN Security Council has always been and remains paralyzed because the United States, Israel's key ally, has a veto power.
And there has been a lot of criticism that this has amounted to impunity for Israel because the United States is not taking a tougher stance.
And you heard Yvette Cooper talking about needing more international solidarity to make some headway on a two-state solution, saying that the U.K.
