However, you would have individuals that may have had IRA links or certainly links to South Dublin crime gangs that could have been, you know, had their fingers in the pie, as it were.
And so then there were mentions of names like of gangs associated with Fat Freddy, Thompson.
But it was never, it's not properly established.
But this guy, you know, insisted that he was under pressure.
And
But also he tried to, he didn't fess up straight away.
He blamed another guy, his friend, who also was jailed for burying the bodies on his land.
Yeah.
He said they both kind of blamed each other.
A little twist in the tale was the other guy, Stone, which was his pal, he said he was just an innocent, found the bodies on his land.
He was also under pressure from them.
He said he just buried the bodies and he was convicted for desecration of bodies and hiding evidence.
He wasn't convicted over the murders.
But another inmate who shared his cell said he confessed.
He told it was actually him.
And it wasn't Haig at all.
So there was an interesting story that even though it was going back 15, 16 years, there was all these twists and turns to it.

It's too long ago now, but fascinating story.
