There was loads and loads of theories.

There was, obviously, you said he subsequently got on to become involved in serious criminality.

And as a result, even as a 17-year-old, might have known a lot of people.

But it was certainly one of those incidents where often people are shot and straight away you can tell within a few hours what is the motive, even if you don't

know who necessarily carried out which role.

But there was a huge amount of confusion.

But it does seem, in the fullness of time, it's a total case of mistaken identity.

And he was mistaken for somebody involved in this.

I mean, it started off kind of almost looking like...

a not very serious feud between two geographical areas in Dublin and of course did escalate over time.

What was called the Pear Street-Sheriff Street feud.

I think there was a video of it circulating at the time.

It was crazy looking.

I mean, it kind of started off, I mean, certainly by the time it was 2020, it had really escalated.

And as you said, people getting hit in the head with a hatchet.

And there was another occasion, a guy firing a number of shots.

It seemed to start off looking like younger teenagers on TV.

you know, bikes and scooters sort of clashing with each other initially, it sort of looked like it started off as, you know, a little bit of street violence and rapidly escalated to the point at which guns were being fired.

I think there was another occasion, there wasn't a home in the Sheriff's Street area where a group laid siege to it looking for somebody.

I mean, it...
