Now that charge was eventually withdrawn, but Mark Salmon has been convicted and pled guilty to serious offences in connection with gangland crime.

Yeah, so look, we know obviously Mark Salmon comes from the same sort of groupings that really, you know, became household names really.

I suppose they're called, they've been called the Gucci gang.

And they've, a lot of them, of course, had very short, brief criminal careers before they were

basically shot dead.

They arose, I suppose, sort of in the middle of this, the Hutch Kinnaghan feud.

They were a young group of guys who basically a lot of the Kinnaghan associates had to get out of the country one way or another or ended up in prison.

And these were guys in their young 20s who really started making huge money selling drugs.

And Salmon was kind of maybe on the edges of this.

In particular, we're thinking of people like Sean Little and Zack Parker.

So exactly, he never came up.

I mean, Sean Little was, you know, in the run-up to his murder, he was appearing all the time because...

Because basically they were fighting this long feud and you're right, Glen Ward, they would have all come from that one original group of young fellas.

Now, Mark Salmon, while he didn't appear in the papers or ring out, he was being seen with Sean Little really at the time as well.

And he doesn't, as you said, like Sean Little, partly why they were called the Gucci Gang was because they were wearing all these designer clothes and

You just had to open up, you know, social media and you'd see them jetting around with, you know, expensive watches.

And, of course, they were on the water skis that were famously, ultimately, would be taken by the Criminal Assets Bureau.

But also they were living this incredible lifestyle, you know, going to Ibiza and all these other places.

But Mark Salmon is the opposite of that.

He certainly kept a very low profile lifestyle.
