So if you don't incentivise people to plead guilty, why would they, I suppose?

Clearly, these guys pled guilty in the middle of a trial, so you're not going to get as much mitigation as a result.
But they're starting off, the judges, they cannot give them more than 10 years.
That is just the way it is.
It is a maximum sentence.
So they automatically have to discount something off that in order to get the incentive plea, and that's where we get to these cases.
Yes, you get about 25% off.
And they've already served a year and a half.
They've already served from February 2025 to now, so a bit less, a year and a bit.
Well, I mean, yes.
