People will remember from some of the updates we did that as the trial approaches in December,
Barry Moore, the witness, the victim, obviously doesn't want to appear.
He is, you know, he's given a statement, people will know how it works, but you give a statement, you sign a statement, that can be admitted in the court, but generally a witness doesn't
due to the Irish law that witness should be cross-examined if the defence wants to do so.
So they want to bring Mr. Moore to be brought in to be asked about his statement.
He doesn't want to come and it's said in court why he doesn't want to come.
He's terrified.
He's in fear.
He refuses to come.
He's asked to come.
He doesn't appear.
There's a bench warrant over a couple of hearings.
He's just not, he's just too afraid.
The court is, you know, that could put you in contempt of court and you could go to prison.
Obviously, nobody in that court system, the guards, the judges,
you know, the prosecution, none of them want to pick on a man who's been through what we've described there.
I mean, absolutely horrific.
So he is basically not going to appear.
And at this point, the trial goes on anyway.
If you've made a statement, it can be admitted to the court immediately.
