They've gone for him on the money in the meantime.
And his appeal could actually, he could win that appeal totally and then be released or he could get a longer, shorter sentence.
Same thing, of course, happened to Christy Kinahan many years ago.
He was up in Belgium, in Antwerp also, actually.
And he was accused and brought before the courts on money laundering charges.
He was found guilty.
He appealed, was granted bail, went back down to Spain where he continued his operations.
Operation Shovel happened there.
He ended up in custody in Spain.
All the while, the appeals court in Belgium, I think, lengthened the sentence they originally gave him.
And they went for the money.
And they actually seized a couple of buildings of him up there.
One of them was worth more than one million.
He ended up going back up, having to serve a sentence there.
It's kind of these reasons that Belgium and the Netherlands and Spain, not so much Spain, but particularly Belgium and the Netherlands, there was a period of time that they were the places to be.
Now, they're still very important transport areas and their ports are huge.
Antwerp and Belgium and Rotterdam and Amsterdam and in the Netherlands are the most important and biggest ports of Europe.
But they don't tend to live there if they can at all avoid it or they move a lot in and out because the laws are quite strict.
