What about some of the challenges through your career?
I think one of the interesting conversations we always have at this time of the year is some of the difficult hurdles to rise those executive levels forward.
for females, especially in a male-dominated industry like finance.
Can you talk through some of those challenges you've sort of dealt with through the last few years?
That Royal Commission must have been a big one, right?
Maybe that's why you've done it so easy over here and made it look easy with any FMA changes.
Anything they throw at you can't be nothing compared to what you had to go through in Royal Commission, right?
Yeah, I mean, you've got the experience to do it right, which has no doubt kind of helped.
Anything more specific on the challenges for a female in the finance industry for you that you sort of noted as you've gone through the ranks?
Yeah, it seems to be that thing that, you know, the imposter syndrome probably affects females more than males.
and i think there's that you know stat or that uh line that's often referenced that you know a guy will see a job description and go i can do you know one fifth of it so i'm going to apply whereas a female goes i can't do one fifth of that so i'm not going to apply and it's just that different mentality right so i like that and i suppose like you say just knowing that you've got the the knowledge you've got the expertise and having that confidence to talk up in those situations and
And hopefully be in environments that are open and welcoming of that too, which as I think you've already spoken about, you know, loan markets certainly provided you that opportunity, which has much been brilliant to be a part of.
