I like that we're all looking between the lines here because I think that there's some validity to all of what you said.
I also believe that this is a team that has kind of acted, you know, you're right, as if they're in a win-now mode.
You know, trading for Trent McDuffie felt a lot like when they traded for Jalen Ramsey before they won that first Super Bowl under McVay and Les Snead.
But I don't think it's as all-in as it was back then in some ways, and that is they would have traded a first-round pick for somebody if that was the case.
And they wouldn't have even spent this big because that's not who they were in that previous area.
And I think they're trying to kind of straddle the line between the two right now while still owning and maintaining the win now appearance from the outside.
There's a reason that there's seven rounds in the draft.
It's not like they can't address receiver in the second round, and there's still a number of guys that are going to be available.
So it's not like all is lost, but I understand the focus on the first round.
I think that they found themselves in a situation where once Jordan Tyson and Carnell Tate were off the board, where they were like, you know what, I think this is what we now have to do.
I think we now have to go get...
our quarterback of the future because they had to believe first off they had to believe that strongly in him that they would make him then the you know their number one overall pick but also the fact that um you know this is going to be a question they're going to have to answer maybe as soon as next year and if they don't win it this year and they truly go all in and don't have a quarterback to throw to anybody that they would draft at 13 then they'd really be screwed so this is maybe the best uh compromise that they could find between the two and
And also, frankly, once Tate and Tyson were off the board, I mean, Levin slid past them.
Like, he continued to slide.
Maybe they didn't think of him as highly as others.
I personally, I don't think Levin's going to be a good player, but personally, I like his teammate Jacoby Lane as a nice fit for them in, you know, day two, potentially.
So we're on day two, so we'll see what happens.
Um, first off, you know, this was, this essentially followed what we expected with the running back class.
Um, we knew that Notre Dame probably had the best two in this group and, you know, we already talked about love and everything else, but, um, I, this first came to mind as a potential fit.
I think when we were doing mock draft live a few weeks ago, um, and where I think it was Lance, uh, Zerline, who I think had projected a Jadarian price to go to, uh,
