So I found it interesting because you see really how things work and how these coaches make life decisions.
So he talks about how, in this first clip, how things were really good at LSU for family reasons, and it was a good job.
And then when an opportunity came, he really upset his wife.
Yet took the job.
So he goes out there and he was going to work for a guy that he knew very well.
Of course, Coach Shepard was a graduate assistant of mine at WKU who became the head coach there from Alabama.
So I was excited to get there and work with him.
But my wife went up there and it was raining every day and she cried and cried and cried.
So then the Memphis job opens.
He's there three weeks.
The Memphis job opens, and he knew right away he was leaving.
And this is the clip that's kind of gone viral, if you will.
One of the GAs on staff said, Coach, did you see what happened in Memphis?
I'm like, no, what happened?
He said, the defensive coordinator just left with the Georgia Tech.
I'm like, oh, my God.
I'm going to do it again because it happened at Tulane.
I had just taken the Tulane job and Miami called.
And when money calls, you got to go, right?
