Alex, what's happening?
all the time and just let them have fun if you see them getting serious then you get a little bit more serious but it's not about winning and losing especially at that age i mean yeah it sounds like i'm either going to be the greatest person to ever live we're going to send these girls into therapy for the rest of their lives yeah probably bill and neptune what's happening bill hey morning gentlemen listen geo i'm sorry i gotta do this to you you are not coaching anything you are running a daycare facility on a baseball field
I coach T-ball and listen, everybody's got their coaching stories.
I just want to give you the reality because this is the reality.
You're going to be having kids streaking across the field.
Bats are going to be thrown all over the place.
You're going to have linebackers that are going to, after they hit the ball, they're going to run out and tackle girls.
You're going to have the nose pickers.
You're going to have the captain on the team that's the only one that takes the game serious, and she's yelling at every other kid out there.
You're going to be making Irish coffees by the third game of the season.
I guarantee you that.
I'm going to call you back later on in the season and find out what you put in your coffee in the morning.
And then I just want to give you some little bits of advice because this really made it easier for me to have to deal with the monstrosity that you're going to be faced with is make sure your batting order is done by number, okay?
You're going to go by number, not names, because no one's going to be paying attention.
You definitely need a bench coach to make sure that every kid's getting off of that bench when they're supposed to be.
And then...
Finally, it gets better over time.
Trust me.
The cuts and the bleeding that you're going to deal with, it gets better.
I mean, that was the exact opposite of Nick Swisher.
