I'm doing fantastic.
Appreciate y'all having me.
Yeah, forgive me.
There's a little bit of maintenance going on in my house right now.
But, yeah, so the Clowns started off in 1929 as the Miami Ethiopian Clowns.
Started off as an entertainment type of team.
You know, they used to be dressed up in skirts and painted faces, kind of mimicking African tribes.
And so...
They started off playing just a fun form of baseball with a little bit of entertainment.
And then as they started to progress towards the 1940s, more specifically 1943, so whenever they started off in the Negro American League and whenever they got invited, they would bounce around between there, Cincinnati, and then they went to Indianapolis in 1946 for their permanent home.
And
As they joined the Negro Leagues, they didn't lose their spark of entertainment and fun, and they still played serious baseball.
They still had really good players, as in Peanut Davis.
They signed Hank Aaron in 1951, who would only play for three months until he got signed by the Braves after.
And then they would add on Satchel Paige in the 1960s.
But yes, the Indianapolis Clowns,
brought showmanship and showmanship side of baseball and showed, you know, that this game could be something more than just just sticks and balls.
You know, we could do add a little flair to it.
Have a little fun as well.
Yeah, yeah.
