If you haven't, I apologize.
Because I have these folks explaining to me or laughing at the idea that I could have the opinion that someone who just thoroughly and decisively outplayed another guy in a five-game series for the championship, the idea that it's just ludicrous that that guy might be better than him.
And the amount of people who unironically were trying to explain to me how I am totally discounting Victor's defensive impact when the championship was won because the other team couldn't stop Jalen Brunson from scoring 45 fucking points.
That I am, I don't grasp what Victor does to other teams' offenses when the championship was won with Jalen Brunson averaging 32.5 points.
That I am failing to recognize the gap between those two.
We'll talk about the offense in a minute.
Those two guys defensively is so vast.
despite the fact that in these playoffs, the number one defense was the Knicks.
So whatever Jalen's defensive limitations are, they must have found a workaround.
And whatever Victor's defensive strengths are, they must not have fully accentuated them.
Because Spurs have a bunch of other elite defensive wings, right?
And yet the Knicks, with Brunson and Towns playing more minutes than anybody else, the Knicks had the number one defense these playoffs.
Number one offense and number one defense.
Yes, and then I'll get to the other piece of it.
But this is the meme.
Can we throw it up there?
Let me see what it is.
Yeah, so it's the guy on the left and the guy on the right have the same opinion.
And then the... So the idea is that... The most basic and obvious stuff is often actually...
It's what the dumbest people believe and the smartest people believe.
