So I promised the chairman and the manager that I would never speak to a football club before we'd finished our season.

And I kept my word on that.

So the week following the Champions League final, there was kind of a list of options and the first place we went was Lisbon and I've been to Lisbon a couple of times, I've been to Estoril and guys and all that.

And I, you know, straight away I said, it's going to be here.

And I did, and obviously I met the people from the club and they were very, very nice.

Yeah, but they were not that, it wasn't like the AC Milan's and the, I, when I first, when I first sort of decided that I was going to go, my, the big one I really wanted to go to was Monaco.

I went, but,

No, it's completely only for the living.

Brilliant.

Because of the second part of that season, I felt I played really well, and I think everyone played really well, and I had so much fun playing that.

I kind of felt I needed a little bit more football in it.

And I made a big mistake after the final because the chairman and the gaffer called me and my agent over and they wanted me to stay.

It's quite silly this, but we'd already packed the house down.
