Convicted killer Dermot McArdle, who was the subject of a Garda missing persons alert, answered a Facebook post saying, don't worry, I'm back, shortly after the appeal went public.

McArdle served a short sentence in Spain for the manslaughter of his wife, Kellyanne Corcoran, who a court heard he had thrown from the balcony of their Costa del Sol holiday hotel back in 2000.
