So what happened actually was Mike Gain went missing in March of last year.
He had been seen, he'd gone into a shop, he was caught on CCTV purchasing something and he had driven out to his estate, his big farm, it's a thousand acres and it's near Kenmare there in Carrigg East.
A vast
sort of plot of land that travels up towards Malls Gap.
Searches had been conducted there at the time he went missing in March.
There had been various units of the police on the scene and locals had come in their droves as well to help with the search, which had eventually been wound down.
Now, in May 16th, a family friend was spreading slurry on the lands
You know, continuing the farm work that needed to be done when the spreading pipe got clogged up and the family friend discovered a bone and human tissue and immediately the GardaΓ were contacted.
What happened next was the scene was cordoned off and it was discovered that the remains of Mike Gain had been in the slurry pit.
And as that is now before the courts, we are going to have to leave that for the moment until there's any more reporting coming in from the courtroom.
