And should he be convicted of that, it would be a pretty lengthy sentence.
It's unlikely he's going to go without trying to put up some fight about it.
We know from the initial extradition in the Dublin High Court that there will be a reliance upon EncroChat phone messages, which haven't, of course, been used in the courts down here, which could be an element that he could use to try and fight any extradition.
And the handle that the PSNI will claim that Gill used was Steady Buster, along with the second handle Steady Buster, one seems to be the...
Most important, the extradition warrant details some of the messages that are sent by Steady Buster and gives a good bit of detail of what was going on in relation to the plot to kill Robbie Lawler.
So Gill is in custody.
So he would be where?
Cloverhill still?
And would it be likely that he could also apply for bail?
Now, just to just run over it very quickly, because we're going to come back to this story when we do get a proper date and that hearing is set.
But also in that warrant, Sligo drug dealer Barry Young was named as a co-conspirator.
in that European arrest warrant for Jonathan Gill for the murder of Robbie Lawler.
And according to the warrant, Young will accept being the user of the Anchor Chat call handles Rathu and Trimnose.
We understand that the prosecution are going to seek to prove the handles were in touch with Steady Buster, who they allege is Gill, before and after the murder.
Young is obviously serving a sentence in Portleish Prison for directing a criminal organisation and he doesn't admit to having a key role in the murder but has said he was aware that a plot was in play to kill Lawler and he hasn't named Jonathan Gill or anybody else suspected of involvement in the plot.
He has simply indicated that he will accept that he was the user of those two call handles.
So all of that no doubt will be
you know, will come out further in the proper, the Gill hearing.
So for the moment, we'll leave that there.
Thanks, Eamon.
