if you are working outside of office hours, you can very quickly burn out.
And I did down the track burn out from working myself into the ground.
So what I would say is by all means take on a side hustle.
It helps to love it.
It also helps to know whether you've got an end point or not because if it's ongoing for the foreseeable future, it can be really challenging in terms of maintaining your relationships and having enough time for yourself.
You still want to enjoy your life.
That's really important too.
Not second major jobs.
One of the girls that I did speak to who was extraordinary was working in administration in the mental health industry.
And on top of that, she was doing shifts for disabled people on
in the evenings and on weekends.
So she was going over to their home and making sure they had everything they needed and feeding them and often doing that shift overnight.
So she also said that she needed to make sure that that had an end point because the emotional drain of the day itself followed by the evening work and she had a partner.
It was not sustainable long term.
So a lot of people that I talk to maximize their income for a finite period of time, knowing that they would eventually get past that.
What would I do differently?
Oh, that's such a difficult question.
So there are a couple of things that I probably would have done differently.
In hindsight, I probably could have waited another six or 12 months and saved more and made sure I had more in the bank for that first year.
I really got down to the wire on that.
