It's pretty exciting, isn't it?
It's nice to be noticed on the world stage and quite a neat little story behind it.
So, you know, I think it's pretty cool.
That's just the norm and I think that's where our country is evolving and you can either embrace it and everyone knows the country needs population or you can fight against it.
But personally I think it's a great thing and it's great for areas like us.
I think it's got to be, you know, really well thought through.
I mean, the country does have...
challenges around investment and infrastructure and what have you so you know you've got to be careful on how you grow but I think the next sort of 20 years is going to be a really good 20 years for New Zealand as far as getting some of that investment right and fixing some of the you know legacy changes and we're going to need people so it's got to be quite balanced and the way we approach that and it's not just doctors that we need but we need
You know, tradies, we need it through the scope of people.
And yeah, look, it is concerning, but we all know, you know, politics is politics and people are trying to get re-elected this year, aren't they?
So it's not always the truth of the matter, but they're targeting maybe a sentiment that's out there and that's, you know, something they're entitled to do, I guess.
No, I don't think so.
Look, there's always underlying sentiment in any community and, you know, with the eco-chamber of social media nowadays, people might think they've got some real traction, but it's not the reality.
It's not what I get talking to people and certainly not my generation.
I'm just under 15 nearly there and it's not an issue for us and it's not something we would talk about on a day-to-day basis.
Yeah, look, I mean, this one specifically has got a lot of traction, you know, and a lot of friends overseas as well, you know, copying me into the link because they've seen it and they're, you know, to Meruvian, but they're,
living somewhere else and they're pretty proud of their home patch and think it's pretty neat that it's got some global traction.
And yeah, look, it's great.
We've got a great place.
It's a great place to live.
