Disaster officials in Afghanistan say at least 17 people died this weekend in extreme weather, including floods, thunderstorms and a landslide.

They warn that number could rise as rescue crews reach affected areas, 13 of the country's 34 provinces.

The storms also damaged homes and destroyed roads and farms.

Afghanistan is vulnerable to extreme weather events, made worse by climate change, poor infrastructure...

Houthi rebels in Yemen, who are backed by Iran, launched a missile towards Israel today, their first such strike since the war in Iran began one month ago.

The Israeli military says it intercepted the missile.

A rebel leader had said yesterday the Houthis intended to join the war.

An Iranian missile hit an airbase in Saudi Arabia, injuring U.S.

troops.

Israel says it's stepping up its assault across the border into Lebanon to fight Hezbollah militants.
