A South Korean court held today that the imposition of martial law by former President Yoon Suk-yeol in 2024 was an act of rebellion.

The ruling came as the court sentenced Yoon's prime minister at the time to 23 years in prison for his involvement.

Han Duk-soo is the first Yoon administration official convicted of rebellion.
