um there's lots of kidnappings that i've dealt with over the years um some of it has been high profile some of it hasn't some of it's been what we call express kidnappings where they'll be held for a couple of days taken to a cash point we draw the maximum then they'll let them go uh some of them have been high profile and some people have been detained for quite some time sometimes we've got it wrapped up very quickly

It's very rare.

I'm not saying it hasn't happened.

I did 17 recoveries, I think, in recovery.

That's 17 jobs.

And I think it was 25 people got back to their original country of origin.

These are international, yeah.

I've never done a UK kidnapping.

I'm not saying they've never happened.

They have.

I'm aware of some that have happened.

But most kidnappings, when we talk about the UK, what tends to happen, and parts of Europe as well,

is that it's generally child kidnappings and it really gets, not that I would define as a kidnapping and I'd be involved.

What it is, is husband and wife split up, father grabs the child or mother grabs the child because they don't want to be away from their child.

That then raises the police.

That technically is a kidnapping.

Yeah.

So there's a lot of that that goes on and generally gets resolved.

But when I'm talking about kidnap for ransom, this is specific people, they've been targeted, they've been detained for ransom.
