TÀmÀ on siitÀ, mitÀ tÀmÀ on.
TÀÀllÀ on vielÀ paljon aktiivisia suomalaisia.
A risk to free speech. And I asked the Sands about this last year and they adamantly said they're not against free speech. They're just against free speech that doesn't have a consequence. And it's just, and the consequence that they considered here was libelous because there was free speech that was what they considered to be defamatory. So it does create, like you said, this vacuum of
will now be aware if a trial were to happen again there's it's basically already happened and you're essentially getting a read but a do-over so there's obviously the risk that either party is able to apply different tactics this time to benefit themselves so yeah so i think they'll likely appeal but it's a strange one because there could be fresh proceedings there could be also major battles over legal costs as well because this all isn't free people are paying for solicitors or paying for barristers involved in this but ultimately i think that the question that remains is
The trial of Stephen McCullough for the murder of Natalie McNally is continuing at Belfast Crown Court.
In court today, a former partner of the murder accused gave evidence.
The woman alleged that McCullough had recorded counselling sessions after she had suffered a stillbirth.
She also said she withdrew a 2019 police statement relating to an alleged assault by McCullough.
Natalie McNally was 15 weeks pregnant when she was killed at her home on December 18th, 2022.
Stephen McCullough denies any involvement with the murder.
Belfast Telegraph crime correspondent Alison Morris has been at court.
She joins me.
Welcome back, Alison.
I just want to preface that some of the content of today's podcast could be uncomfortable for some listeners.
So today, which is Friday the 6th of March, a former partner of McCullough, she said she was in an on and off relationship with him for around seven years.
She spoke about an alleged assault and she also gave a rough timeline of their relationship.
