I think I'm far from alone in that.
Natasha, you've been working on this story.
You've been talking to some of the anti-data center activists.
What's going on here?
What are the parameters of this story?
I mean, we've heard this about data centers for a long time.
And what are the cons?
I mean, obviously, the hum, the noise, there's the pressure on the energy grid.
There's the particulates, the kind of, you know, pollution, essentially, like, how do we know, like, what is the, what are the negative effects on the local community from a data center?
And what are the positive effects?
Obviously, there's jobs, and in some cases, more than in others.
But what's the kind of what is the cost benefit analysis if there's a data center popping up next door?
And then I think the other story this week in the journal about exactly that, right, which is a proposed tax on data centers.
And some of the proposals are basically taxing the data centers themselves.
Other proposal taxing tokens, either the issue of tokens by tech companies or the use of tokens by users.
I mean,
It's kind of interesting.
Now Anthropic is going to be using them.
Natasha, I want to give the last word to you.
You mentioned 20 data centers that are paused.
