If you think trans women are trying to be the center of feminism, you're wrong.
Trans women are doing us a favor by pointing to a very important principle of feminism, which is a movement is only as free as the woman who is most impacted.
and most oppressed by the most systems at once we're recognizing that this is a constellation of systems of oppression that some people do experience and some people don't let me put it this way if we build a feminist movement that addresses the needs of trans women right especially trans women of color especially black trans women here in america we are going to build a feminist movement
that is going to address how many systems of oppression, right?
If we look at the woman who is impacted and most burdened by the most systems of oppression at the same time in the room, and we say, you know what?
she's good that means we're all gonna be good because all of the systems of oppression are going to be addressed because we're addressing them all at the same time right if it's going to be addressed for her that means it's gonna be addressed for me because I am also under like some of the systems of oppression that she is so if we free her
then our movement's gonna be as free as possible, right?
And in writing, there are truly few things that I hate more than being misrepresented, especially when I feel like I have a really, really simple mission or very simple
goal to have my love and and care and deep adoration for women be um seen and understood and for my platform to be a safe space for us to talk about that and explore that um and so i've made this video so many times and that's that's what's making me like really emotional i've made this video a lot of times and i'm always upset like i just always wind up crying there's nothing more embarrassing than crying on the internet
So as much as I would not like to have to be like this during this response, it's just gonna have to be a thing.
I'm not trying to get sympathy points.
I literally just need to get this video out and this is just the state that it's happening in.
Forgive me for reading my response.
Writing is the medium I have felt the most comfortable with and considering the gravity of the situation, I would like to ensure that I'm communicating my feelings clearly.
First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who has offered me constructive criticism in relation to this recent pushback.
My goal with my content has always been to make a safe space for women across the gender spectrum to reflect on and share their experiences in the hope that we can feel more empowered to lead lives that feel authentic and fulfilling.
Anything that threatens the safety of the online spaces I have created is a matter I take extremely seriously.
and want to be sure I correct.
There seems to be two primary concerns people have with my content as it relates to trans rights and transphobia.
The first being my comment section.
