And the way the opposition is going to frame their opposition to this is really key for them because are they going to go to the next election arguing for lower taxes on a small group of people who have trusts?
Can you imagine that?
Many years later, anger has grown.
Politics is disrupted.
But another key one, which I think is always discounted or not really factored in enough, the legitimacy of office, the power of departments and having the ability to actually have an infrastructure around your sales job.
whereas in opposition you are scrambling, all oppositions do, and it's very hard to do that.
So I think the stars are aligned more for the Labor Party and the Labor government as they're doing this.
They still will be criticised, though, that they haven't done enough on tax reform.
Did you go to the Treasurer's press conference?
Because in that press conference he opened the door to potential problems
You know, watch for the next election campaign and how Labor frames all of the money they're bringing in from the taxation changes and that workers will get more of a benefit for the money they're taking in.
So they're aware of the politics of needing to give people more in their pocket, I reckon.
